Blacks, Persians, East Indians and Hispanics are voting for Obama as well.

Let's get real, there is only one demographic voting for McCain...even the Cubans will run to Obama now that Palin is on the ticket (well maybe).

This is not surprising. It's conventional wisdom that Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, Pakistani-Americans are solid Democratic voters.

The only Asians that Republicans get are Vietnamese Americans (for obvious reasons), and the Filpino community, whose older members are fanatically religous conservative Catholics.

Doesn't suprise me. The repubs have done little over the years to attract the Asian vote. Lack of foresight if ever there was.

Keep in mind, that demographic happens to constitue seventy percent of the nation's population.

This topic was discussed in the Filipino forums that I visit and its overwhelmingly Obama. Remember that neither candidate is Catholic and that would sway votes. And both are Christian, so the vote becomes more economic, just like any American. They do not relate with a rich white guy with multiple homes and cars. If McCain or Obama were Catholic it would be a different story. Also most Filipinos live in Obama States - Hawaii, the west coast of the US, IL, NY, NJ...

Out of that 70%, maybe what 30 to 35% are Repubs. Maybe. Doesn't add up to a win.
