Ok, you're showing your obvious bias now. I showed you my examples, you have shown none, and now by this post, it's obvious you just wanted to start a flame war.

Again, "the other side does it too" is not exactly helping your cause, when it's the DEMOCRATS that are supposed to be cognizant of racist, sexist, ageist attacks, and the supposed shining examples of civility vs. republicans.

It's all out the window at this point. And yes, Republicans this year are MARKEDLY less vicious than they were against Kerry in 2004.... cause Dems have learned to play the race card oh-so-well.

LOL Ya think?! Of course I'm becoming biased now! What the heck do you expect when I see this? I left the Obama side for similar reasons and it's just gotten worse. But even tho' I am becoming more biased, I refuse to hate someone for their beliefs and affiliation. What a waste of brain space.

I disagree about Republicans being less vicious, especially recently. Once the poll numbers dropped, suddenly the nastiness has been ratcheted up.

Exactly - both sides do it, but at least here on CD, you will find the R side doing it in a much nastier manner (as per my quotes). If you disagree, find me some quotes as vile as the ones I posted.

When you see what? You keep saying that without providing any background information as to exactly what you are seeing that is so nasty. Show me examples in the same vein of what I showed you.

You left a party because of what some people were saying?? You obviously have strong convictions

I don't mind a good debate, discussion or disagreement but this is getting ridiculous.
I agree. I have been on the Election forum a lot lately and I have been bashed horribly by the Dems. I have been called names, cussed at and insulted so badly - you would be shocked.
I have never seen people lash out so much in order to save the face of a candidate. If you watch some of Obama's speeches on his campaign tour, you will hear him insult McCain over and over. FINALLY, Palin had to start fighting back! That is why she has brought up the Ayers relationship. Not for a distraction, but because Obama and his supporters have been dispicable!!
I would like to point out the teacher who was recently suspended because he was indoctrinating his students - in support of Obama!! It was sick! They are children - teens - they don't know how to form an opinion.
I would also like to point out the Obama supporters (I think in Ohio) who were taking homeless people to the polling sights and urging them to vote Obama - then they were taking them over to the next county to vote again. The laws lack in that state, but how dishonest of those Dems!!
I am constantly appalled at the statements made by liberals and how they only lash out instead of debating to the point, and on the point, in an intelligent manner.
I think they know their candidate is not qualified and they will say anything to defend him. They will dismiss his terrorist friends and his shady connections. They dismiss all of the lies Biden tells and what an poor choice Obama made choosing Biden! They have to distract from all of the terrible faults so they lash out at Reps....they have nothing else!!

I came to this board a few weeks ago at the suggestion of a friend. My first posts were not at all snarky, but talked about the facts, I was immediately attacked and the name-calling began. There is little tolerance or respect shown for John McCain supporters. At some point, it is human nature to begin to strike back.
I have been a Democrat in all presidential elections - but one - since the McGovern days and witnessing the viciousness of the D's on this board makes me almost ashamed to admit that. I live in Chicago and find Obama supporters to be a very different breed than anyone I have encountered in all my years of political activism - there is a deep hatred for those who don't think as they do and definitely a strong sense of entitlement. This is also the first election cycle when using the candidates middle name is grounds for being called a racist. All in all, a pretty angry group.

It's not a lot of trouble - the Internet is VERY easy to use.

Do you know what a PUMA is? They don't necessarily have to remain democrat or even ever have to be a democrat. It is a Hillary supporter that can't bring themselves to vote for Obama.
