Wow
OK, it's now 3:45am where I am and the new national RCP average won't be out until 9:30 am. As it stands right now, the split is 5.1% as of 10/08/2008 in favor of Obama, down from 6.9% just two days earlier. The Obama camp lost 0.8% and McCain gained a full point. These numbers do not include third party candidates. When Barr and Nader are included, the split narrows to 4.2%. No information is available at this time on Green Party super liberal candidate Cynthia MacKinney's effect, but common sense would dictate that she will pull most of her support from the Obama camp and narrow the race even further. And let's not forget about the "Bubba" vote that could siphon off as much as 7% that is not counted now.

Actually a Frank Luntz focus group scored the most significant reaction to the VP debate when Palin spoke on personal responsability. The reaction of the group was so far positive that the equipmet used was unable to record it. Several undecideds choose to vote for the McCain ticket based mostly on that. One person selected Obama during the same exchange.

Look below for my post on the current poll numbers.

But not since they did such a tremendous dis-service to not only my generation, but my children's in the astronomical national debt they have piled up. It is $11.3 Trillion - and counting. With all these bailouts and emergency actions by the Fed and Treasury, I wouldn't be surprised if we are in debt to the tune of 12 or 13 TRILLION before Bush leaves office.
He had lots of help. Obama and the other dems fought GSE reform tooth, nail and filibuster starting in 2003 when DUBYA was sounding the alarm. Dodd, Frank and the rest went nuts. He has been back every year since then but the dems fought it. In 2005 Hagel, Dole and Sanunu introduced S. 190, pushed for it again in 2006 with McCain on board as a cosponsor. Now finally after it is too late, Obama says "took him three tries to get it done". The person who does your children a disservice is you because you have already decided what to believe before you have the facts. Perhaps your children won't mind being poor if you share some of Obama's great speeches and "plans" with them. Or you could explain how it was all Bushes' fault.

RCP average as of 10/08 has it as 5.1%. Can't wait for 9:30am.

Hmmm....Looks more like they're embracing an example of hard work, professionalism, and pragmatism in an increasingly unstable environment brought on by folks who didn't have their best interests at heart. America has always been the great experiment called fantasy land by many, haven't you looked at the landscape? The Nation is full of immigrants, it's already fantasy land, hard work and perseverance pay off here. You call it fantasy land....most call it America - the Land where if you work hard enough, meet the right folks, and doggedly pursue your dreams - they come true. Oh yeah...almost forgot the sprinkles of good luck and the blessings of prayer.

In the 2004 election, John Kerry was not competitive in red states; i.e, North Carolina, Virginia. The fact that Obama is competitive in these southern states means there is no comparison between the elections.
