...that a long time politician, with 26 years in the senate and a self proclaimed "maverick" is shown up time and time again by a young, intelligent, incredibly educated man in the prime of his life who has not spent his life as a career politician, but will soon become the president of the United States?
This country has not seen many politicians like Barack Obama. Go ahead, right wingers with your "Messiah Nobama" stuff, but I'm just telling it like it is!
Gore and Kerry were both ahead in the polls at this point in their respective campaigns and lost to a virtual retard as you characterize him. People do funny things in the voting booth, like vote for republican presidents and divided government. RCP average poll results show a 5.5% lead for Obama without considering third party candidates. Factor them in and it gets even closer, something like 4.2%. Another factor unique to this election is the Bubba vote that could be as high as 7%. Obama supporters have correctly become concerned about the sleaze factor that is getting to be more and more difficult for Obama to simply shrug off.
I listened to the debate on XM while driving home and I was very impressed with Obama. McCain just sounds like a broken record, and an old crusty one at that (love you grandma! no offense!).
This will all come out in the mainstream press AFTER the election. And they still blame republicans including McCain. The have NO SHAME!
