Seriously don't you think that a President has additional concerns about safety for their kids as many public AND private schools might not be able to handle the ability to make sure that obvious target for harm, such as a President's child can be accomodated...?
And selecting public versus private school is a PERSONAL CHOICE. Such as what car to buy, boxers or briefs, etc. I agree... who cares if he sends his kids to private or public school! That other thread was ridiculous.
A president should send his children to whereever they can be best protected.
It does seem a tad hypocritical for a person to decry school vouchers claiming they undermine the public school system all the while sending your kids to a private school. Regardless of party affiliation.
if you weren't a liberal you would not have been so angry and outraged at my ironic observation.

While I support Obamas ability to send his children to a private school, it does kind of contradict the stance he has on public education. For people who fall all over themself shouting for free health care because "its unfair that the poor cant afford insurance", its ironic to see the same people say "the poor should only go to public schools that they are forced to go to"..
School choice, yes, but for all, not just those that can afford it..
I don't support vouchers for private schools. I do support increaded funding for public schools.
Increased funding? I think we've tried that, it failed!!
