That's all he's got, the race card. But the card is old, faded, and not working. I think some people need to accept that people dislike/hate Obama because of his ideas, stances, etc., not because of his race. I haven't seen all the conservatives acting racist towards Rice. That tells me something, these claims of racism are baseless, most people simply don't care about race...
People looking for racism under every rock cheapen the actual insidious nature of racism leading people to ignore it when it is truly there (e.g. the boy who cried 'wolf').
The Daily Show had a funny segment on that for a quick moment last night about the 'that one' comment. It was concluded that it was not racist, just 'weird', and I agree. Are there those who are racist against Obama? Of course. But I recall similar acrimony against Democrats and supporters of Democratic candidates in highly conservative areas (and visa versa) in 04 when race wasn't an issue at all.
There is racism behind that. It may not be obvious. But when was the last time you've heard of such nonsense?
What would have happened if a person drove a car onto a parking lot used by the DNC with a Bush-Cheney or McCain bumper sticker on it?
