YouTube - The Sidewalk to Nowhere, McCain Supporters in Bethlehem, PA

I couldn't even watch the whole thing.
I guess as a survivor of rape I shouldn't even be alive typing this, according to the people in this video.

This video just made me livid.

Anyone here agree with these "people"?

No, this isn't what we've come to. It is what they have come to. Some of us are aspiring to a loftier ideal for this country than fear and division.

I think I reached the same spot you did and couldn't watch anymore. I'd be afraid to be a reporter covering a M/P event these days.

This video saddened me more than anything else I've seen this election. Years ago I joined a peace march one cold December day. We walked the 10 miles from Nazareth PA to Bethlehem PA. I remembered Bethlehem as a beautiful town celebrating peace.

I can't help wonder what William Penn would think of PA these days.

"Love is the hardest lesson in Christianity; but, for that reason, it should be most our care to learn it." W. Penn

They are frightening examples, in part, of a failure of the American educational system. But there is a contingency of wingnuts in every society: the Muslim radicals in the Middle East, the neo-nazis in Germany and Austria, the Le Pen followers in France, etc. They are the ones--like the people in this video and some of the posters on this forum--who are easily baited by racist lies, fear and hatred. Fortunately, in Western countries, they do not usually constitute a large enough segment of the population to make a political difference, overall.

One wants to believe that, if such creatures exist at all, they are just a handful of mentally challenged malcontents living in the middle of nowhere, hiding out from black helipcopters. To actually be forced to face the fact that there are this many of these type of creatures and they are out and amidst us in our everyday life is frightening.
