Time for McCain to Concede? You betcha!
This is getting UGLY for John McCain. To maintain his dignity, he should graciously concede the election. He's been exposed as an empty, untalented embarrassment. Consider his predicament:
1) His VP has just been found guilty of violating her ethical obligation and abusing her power as Governor. She is a fraud. Who the hell needs such a flaky idiot this close to the White House? Incredibly poor McCain judgment to choose her.
2) McCain losing BADLY in the polls with each passing week. A part of the Bush regime the last 8 years, he's now seen as one of the reasons we're in this economic mess. The problem for him is that this is TRUE. He and his record contributed to the problem, having shown poor judgment in supporting Bush. Her certainly didn't make any impact otherwise. He's mediocre at best and a FOLLOWER, not a "maverick." When is comes to McCain, SCAM I AM.
3) More lousy judgment in going negative. He releases his unethical, power-abusing flake VP to try to remind constituents that Obama is a black man without explicitly saying this. Pretty divisive nonsense but typical GOP fare. Nothing substantive to offer the country, so divert attention away from inadequacies by raising controversal spins on your opponent. Cry foul when he hits back. People in this country are sick of the people who got us into this mess (GOP) having the utter gaul to accuse another party of wrongdoing. Clueless the GOP.
4) McCain badly losing ground in states that should be solidly on his side. This includes states like IND, NC, FL, VA, and OH. He's losing in NV, CO, and NM. He will lose all of the Northeast. He will lose all of the Midwest. His campaign is an utter failure and just a distraction now.
5) He's thus far lost BOTH debates. The second debate was worse for him. The more people look at him, the more he looks and sounds like an old, warmongering Bush lapdog.
6) His VP lost badly her debate with Biden and it was clearly evident that Palin has no business being anywhere but in some remote area of the country where there is little to no diversity. She hates diversity. VP looking like a horrible decision now. Palin more suited for shooting defenseless animals in the wilderness from a low-flying plane with a high-powered scoped rifle. She's pathetic and pure trash.
7) His VP trying to incite riots by feeding hatred among her kind of people: Racist idiots, backwoods bigots, and podunk constituents. Because of this loss of control of his VP, McCain is exposed as a man who is NOT a leader and NOT able to delegate authority effectively. Absolutely not presidential material.
8) People are sick to death of George Bush and his warmongering. Thousands of innocent soldiers were sent to fight after Bush LIED to justify going to war. Billions of dollars wasted, money that could've been used more effectively here at home. The Bush neglect of the domestic agenda is the cause of this mess we're in. His irresponsibility and stubborn single-mindedness has hurt this country AND THE WORLD. It has become evident that McCain is also responsible and would do more of the same.
9) Obama has shown the superior campaign strategy. Yet another example of his superior abilities. McCain clearly out of his league. He's outclassed, not as articualte, not as inspirational. Despite his many years in the Senate, he has no advantages. Being a POW doesn't boost his qualifications for being president. This is evident now.
10) He's facing an opponent who is far his superior. Obama is far better qualified to lead this nation. He's far more versatile, has a greater range of awareness. He's far more educated, much more dignified, and has far more integrity. He treats his wife with the utmost of respect. McCain dumped his cripped wife for a fake blond reptile-like fluff. Obama exudes great dignity and seeks inclusiveness. McCain seems like he's privately grappling with an inner rage as a result of psychological battle trauma. Well known that hs has an uncontrollable temper and has been willing to abuse women, physically and certainly psychologically as well. His party is divisive during a time when the opposite is required.
I think it's time for McCain to do the country a favor and concede. Moving forward, we don't need him or the incredibly low-class element that he has brought forth to this process. He's now simply an embarrassment and a distraction. He's the latest evidence that the GOP has disqualified themselves from serious contention in this election after 8 unbelievably pathetic years under their leadership.

I agree with most of what you've said. I do not think McCain should concede, because I think that would be dishonorable. He needs to finish this thing: out of respect for the democratic process, and so that he may retain some measure of self-respect.
What I really want to see happen in this country, politically, is four things:
1) For the Democrats to grow some cojones. (Obama is promising in this regard, but I'm thinking primarily of Congress)
2) For the true conservatives to take back their party from the freaks who have overtaken it for the past 8-10 years (really, ever since Reagan, who was hated during his tenure, but has--miraculously--been rehabilitated into some kind of saint)
3) For there to be a viable third party
4) Public financing of campaigns

I think it will be a bigger statement if he stays in and loses - really badly.

I think McCain in fact, will concede.
In 4 years, at the end of his first term. On his own terms.
He has never surrendered before, haven't you noticed?

Wishful thinking don't you think? Or maybe you posted this in your sleep and you were dreaming? Maybe Obama should concede.

Concede? Now that would be an October Surprise!
Never gonna happen, though. And I wouldn't want it to. Elections need to play out, otherwise you'll never hear the end of it. Plus, it's the American way.
