Despite the desperate, nonsensical ramblings of anti-Obama folks here, the reality is that Obama is picking up steam, endorsements, money, and votes. Some of these newspapers picked Bush over Kerry.
Yes, this list of Obama endorsements smacks of liberal elitism:
the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette,
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, in the 30+ years that I have lived there, has endorsed ONE Republican, and that was for local office (County Executive). The fact that they endorse a Democrat for President is far from suprising.
Since Pittsburgh usually elects who the Post Gazette endorses, and Pittsburghs economy has been in the dumps for 15+ years, I'd say this is a reason not to vote for Obama.. Thanks OP for sharing though..
Interesting. I'm not going to debate, just my observation, Yale Daily News is a free campus newspaper that you pick up on the corner. Does this count as a city newspaper?
And the Sac Bee endorsed McCain and Obama for the Rep and Dem primaries, respectively. These endorsements came about earlier this year. I have no idea which the Sac Bee or the other newspapers endorse for President.
I have not had time to check the other papers.. it was just a cursory glance.
I noticed that too. I first noticed that some newspapers said he was best for Republicans. That confused me. Then, I clicked on and checked several, and they were all Republican primaries. This was before Obama was even chosen, so they are not current.

It'll be interesting to watch the flurry of endorsements over the next week.
