I have worked with many Latinos from the Corpus-Galveston area and many of them open say they hate black people, so the thought that they will automatically go to Obama seems hard for me to believe. Even where I live blacks won't even go into the Mexican restaurant because they say the owners "look at them funny". Tension is certainly there.

oh god.....its a regular Alabama in the 50s.

A couple different reasons why they'll have large turnout.

1. Lost Jobs in Construction, Foreclosures in the Latino community.

2. Immigration is important, some Latinos might feel very ostracized after these last couple years. The Latino community overall probably doesn't support the raids.

3. Univision is going to get them to the polls, especially after their huge Citizenship registration drive which had 1.4 million apply.
