So what happened to McCain today????

What caused the loss of lead????

Any ideas?

1) Palin Interviews
2) Obama Attacks
3) Supporters Behavior
4) Bailout Bill signed?
5) Debate?

What caused the increase in lead?

1) Republican National Convention
2) Staying out of the way of the Democrats?

Any ideas?

A dirty campaign.
Sarah Palin.
A "suspended" campaign (and the keystone cops comedy that followed it, with McCain showing up in D.C. to do, basically, nothing)
Constantly shifting positions.
Transparent lies.

It was the economy. Many won't look past who is holding office - the Republicans. Though the issue goes back to Carter, sadly, most will only see "Republican" and go no further to figure it out.

1) Palin Interviews. Even before the Stock Market Crash Obama was a least 1 point behind McCain. He closed in on McCain's post convention bounce.

2) Debates. America finally saw a true humble intellectual leader instead of some old grump.

3) Lies. The ads where full of lies.

4) Flip Flopping on Issues.

5) Erratic behavior on everything.

Gosh I could on and on...

McCain 2000 becoming McCain 2008. A natural process of deterioration that is consistent with human biology and social deterioration.

I told you all it would be close. Now it's going to be the Republicans' turn to wail and moan about the electoral college alla AL GORE in 2000. Or maybe they won't have to...

What type of people are being polled?

And how are they polled?

I have never been polled.
