Anyone voting independent must be noticing this also. I can just say it does nothing for the support of your candidate when you throw out threats and inuendos of violence.
what are you talking about? Azzhat with the veiled threat earlier in this thread is the only violent or sinister post that I have read regarding obama. Now if you are also lumping in posts that he is a socialist --- well, chances are good that he will implement socialist policies.
And, if you want to read some truly disgusting posts, read anything regarding palin by a democrat. Those posts are absolutely disgusting. And if you ever participated in one of those, then you have effectively lost any and all credibility to lambast mccain people (or as I read it, anyone that is not an obama supporter) as 'off'.
Face it, there are die hard mccain supporters who say horrible things, but there are far more obama supporters who say horrible things as well.
Basically, most people can and do discuss this election rationally --- but those that don't on both sides are the ones that get the most attention.

Support a puppet backed by leftist, marxist criminals? Are you crazy?? This bum of bums will not last, nor will he be successful with any of his leftist wacko agendas. We haven't seen angry yet... In other words, no, I will not support an enemy of my country. That he has been allowed to get this far shows just how sick and unstable this poor nation has become. God help us, we sure need it....

I have not agreed with President Bush all these years, howver, I have supported his Presidency in that I recognized it as the will of the majority (don't start with all the fraud, etc) and that our resilient constitution with amendment has programmed change to ensure we had fresh ideas and new directions at least every 8 years. I would hope that the same courtesy be extended to whoever is President. As far as laws go, they are created in the House and Senate, so efforts to impact those decisions should be focused on your local representatives.

Lilypad, Sen McCain is not an enemy to our country! No one running is an enemy to our country. It is time for some serious counseling when people are thinking that two moderate senators are out to destroy us!!!

Sorry, dude, I'm "party-less." Can you tell me with a straight face that the asshats in Washington put "country" before "personal gain"? Didn't think so.
First, I'm not a dude. Second, I'm glad to hear you admit that they don't. Now you can stop regurgitating McCain's campaign slogan of Country first.

I do not however understand how we can expect them to put country first when we ourselves don't.

As I've said before, if he has the power to do that it's because Bush has given it to him.

Great, good to know this is what our country has come to. Believe what I do, wipe my butt, give me candy, and tell me the world is exactly as I perceive it to be or I won't support you.

An enemy of your country? A far more in depth argument could be made against Bush on that score. Have you made it?

Not to worry. If the "wrong" side wins, the media will do it for them.

Apparently you didn't see, or perhaps are choosing to ignore, the violence committed by left wingers during the Republican convention in Minneapolis.

Emotions run so high in this election that the winner will have a hard time uniting the people of this country behind them.

This election is closer than any of us realize. The polls are not accurate! Many, many people lie to pollsters.

McCain is not going to get the support of the left if he is elected.
Obama is not going to get the support of the right if he is elected.

Regardless of who is elected you can count on about 50% of the population being pissed off for 6-8 months before things start calming down.

In 2 years whoever gets elected will be in a popularity contest whether they want to be or not. That's mid term elections for congress. Usually the "out" party gains some. If the president is popular and can campaign for his party the losses won't be great. If he is unpopular the "out" party usually makes big gains and it's a good sign that the new president might be on his way out in 2 more years when he is up for re-election.

P.S. It's a different link.
Wow . . . .unbelievable. Is it any wonder that this country has hit the skids?

Thanks for that link!
