I have yet to hear even ONE lie being told about Obama.
- Obama is a Socialist/Marxist — It's in his book, and it is obvious by what he tells us he wants to do, such as "spread the wealth around", taking someones hard earned money and giving it to someone who doesn't deserve it; such as government run health care. Such as raising capital gains to extremely high rates (further driving business out of the U.S.—The U.S. already has the highest capital gains rate in the world); such as, taking over your 401K, and ending the tax deduction for your contribution.
- Obama has had a long association with William Ayers, and shares his beliefs. Obama has continues to lie about this association, in spite of the facts. He and Ayers worked on projects together, and Obama endorsed Ayers book.
- Obama was/is a member of the New Party, a Socialist party. A picture of him posing with other members in a news article proves this to be true, while the story praises his election win along with the others mentioned.
- It is doubtful that Obama is a "natural born citizen", and even his grandmother has said he was born in Kenya.
- Obama will dismantle our military and end new weapons programs, taking money from the military and putting it into social programs.
- Obama wants to tax any homes over 2400 SF (haven't heard of that yet? Surprise!)
- Obama wants to limit CEO pay (doesn't that sound like a Socialist idea?)
- Obama and Biden want to "go after" the retirement savings of CEO's of "failing companies" (Biden said this recently). In other words, he will wipe them out personally.
- Obama will make your right to bear arms meaningless by making the cost of ammunition so high as to be out of reach for most. Thus, you may have a gun, but you will not be able to afford ammunition.
So, what "lies" are you referring to?
John McCain and Sarah Palin have a lot going for them, the first of which is that they are true Americans, who believe in America, and our American form of government; i.e., they are not socialists.
John McCain and Sarah Palin believe in a strong defense, keeping us safe, by maintaining the best and most well equipped military in the world. Peace through strength. There is no such thing as a "peace dividend".
McCain/Palin will continue to keep our enemies in check, and continue to fight the war against terrorism until it is won. We will not surrender and allow these Islamists to attack us again. This is a worthy cause, and it is the sacred duty of government to protect the Republic from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
McCain/Palin will ensure you keep your right to bear arms.
McCain/Palin will allow the economy to grow through expansion of business by keeping tax rates low (and even reducing capital gains tax), which will keep companies here in America, create jobs and opportunity for all Americans to achieve their financial goals and a better life for their families.
People move out of the middle class through opportunity, hard work, and taking risks, but in order for this to happen, government must stay out of the way of business, and let the free market work. This was the Reagan model, and it was also what our founders believed in. This was the true meaning of "trickle down"; expansion of business, creating jobs and growth in the economy, benefiting all Americans.

Here's simple.
If you want the same old neo-con party who will continue to siphon off money to the wealthy, at the expense of the middle class, and continue to initiate new wars and waste 12 billion a month to guard street corners in Bhagdad, then vote for McCain.
If you want someone who will stop giving billion dollar tax breaks to corporations to off-shore their jobs to low-wage workers, and someone who will end the stupid neo-con wars, then vote Obama.

There won't be a middleclass if Obama wins. They will be poor, and on welfare--including me. No one will be interested in. or able to buy my product. I depend on people with a bit of money to spend. They will be gone, or buying bare necessities. Maybe I can bake cookies, and sell them to the poor, who are not as poor anymore, since they are getting some of Obama's largesse. I hope he doles out part of his millions first, as an example. No, Michelle and he will probably be holed up in the Waldorf--ordering caviar.lol

To the OP: Because those with money want to keep it away from everyone else. They didn't learn to share some it with those less fortunate (skipped kindergarden class/lesson 101--treat your neighbor as yourself). Giving to others with less is "not cool" to a republican. Self-sufficiency is great and a good way to go, but sometimes s*it happens and people need help. Oh my gosh, don't ever need help. God forbid you'll be guilty of being human.

I just can not get my mind around how giving a tax break to the middle class is socialism and giving a tax break to multi millionaires isn't. It makes no sense. And if it makes no sense, it isn't true.

Yes! Yes!
I've had enough of wealthy, socialite Republicans.
From my understanding, the McCain's former Phoenix home on Central Avenue is listed for around $12,000,000. Granted, the house was Cindy Hensley McCain's childhood home, but these folks live in a different world. Most of us can't relate to a $1,2000,000 home let alone a $12,000,000 home.
As a college graduation gift, Cindy's father bought her a new Porsche.

Let me make two assumptions.
1. Your statement I've quoted is true
2. Obama is very smart.
I think he would realize he'd have more power by the country doing well - strong economy providing for a strong military, etc. I don't think he wants to be president so he can be the captain of a sinking ship (based on market trends - credit crisis hasn't hit me yet), more so he can get us moving in the right direction.
big fish in a huge pond > huge fish in a small pond
It would be in a power-hungry individual's best interest to preside over a flourishing country. And if that is what motivates him.. think I'm ok with that. Its not hard to imagine the cold, power-hungry individuals making difficult decisions easier than an empathetic personality.
I am willing to entertain the idea that I'm wrong, however, I think the guy does have good intentions (in contradiction to my premise).
