I don't believe they were stolen at all.

Well now since you know who took them what did the police tell you about them and please share. If you don't know who took them how can you make judgments? Or is this a typical reaction when something doesn't go your way to blame those not like you?

Maybe the signs were stolen by someone who wanted to make sure they got a souvenir of the 2008 Presidential election campaign.

As for not getting into nursing for the money, HA! My first assigned nurse was LYING about coming to see me when she never did. She kept telling her supervisor that she was calling me but I wasn't home so she couldn't visit. She finally got caught in her lie. So, don't tell me how wonderful and dedicated all nurses are! That wench lied, never went to see her patients and still collected her paycheck, while I and others went without nursing care for more than a month.

But that's besides the point. The fact that you would crucify another health-care professional for stupid, political one-upsmanship just because he assisted me with a simple task after the work day was finished shows how nasty, vengeful, and SCARY libs such as yourself are. I hope to heck the poor dears you visit aren't Republicans and don't tell you they support McCain!
Back when I was in nursing school, one of the first things we learned was that a nurse had to be non-judgemental about her/his patients. In other words, if Osama Bin Laden showed up at our clinic, we'd treat him and his kids (I now work in a pediatric office) the same as we treat everyone else. We also learned to keep out of our patient's politics!
An employee walks a fine line when doing something like that (posting a political sign for a patient). The agency could actually lose their funding if it was construed as supporting one candidate over the other and it is a non-profit, tax-exempt agency. The employee might be hard-put to support that s/he was doing it on his/her own time if s/he did it at the end of a visit.

My Obama sign was stolen from my yard. In fact all the Obama signs in my neighborhood were stolen. When I went to pick up more Obama signs to replace the stolen ones, two other people were doing the same as the signs in their neighborhood were also stolen. ON my drive home, I noticed that all the Obama signs on the highway had been taken. I understand your frustration, but I don't understand why you would demonize a whole group because of one person's actions. I disagree with McCain/Palin supporters, but I wouldn't suggest that you're opposed to free speech or the constitution. I don't call you un-American. I don't think any of the vile things so many McCain/Palin supporters spout off about their opposition.

Get over it. It's kids.

In every single media story about stolen signs, Democrat or Republican, the sign stealers were kids. If they weren't stealing your sign, they'd be whacking your mailbox with a bat, tp'ing your trees, throwing trash on your lawn or leaving flaming bags of poop on your doorstep.

There is no conspiracy here. Just kids participating in an election they're not old enough to vote in. It's immature, but it's not appalling.

Same here All along my neighborhood all the Obama and No on 8 (I'm in California) signs disappeared. We've had 3 stole from us (including a large wooden one that we made ourselves) and we live on a long culdesac so it's not just passerbys, it's our neighbors. I've never personally done anything inherently mean to someone else who has opposing political views, but it's getting to the point where I just want to rip up all the McCain and Yes on 8 signs and burn them in a bonfire in the middle of my town.
