It would be amazing for Obama to use the best people from both sides when he is Elected. In the UK you cannot use anyone in your cabinet that is not in the party voted into power. America is much better in this respect as they can have bipartisan alliances.

Alan Keyes cracked me the hell up the one debate they allowed him in... that man was taking no crap from any of them. He spoke his mind and screw what the political machine had to think/say about him

Colin Powell almost ran in 2000 (just think... no W )
However, his wife woulnd't let him as she was afraid that he would be assasinated.
I understand her fears, but really --- can you imagine what the last 8 years would have been like without W but with President Powell?

End of story.
Oh, bs! Conservative republicans want to vote for an actual conservative regardless of race or sex.
After all -- it took a republican administration to have the first female black secretary of state. Somehow that gets looked over though....oh, thats right -- rice isn't a democrat so she either just doesn't exist to dems or she became an 'uncle tom'...isn't that the phrase the tolerant left give african american republicans?

DAMN IT Colin Powell.... run... I'd be first in line to vote for you!!!! (regardless of the party you affiliate yourself with)

Ah, folks and there great Negro Fantasies.

Frankly I don't think that you know very much about Colin Powell's position on the issues, they certainly would not win the muster of the lunatic right wing of the Republican Party.
