Offer proof where has the so-called suppression taken place and when?
When have the FEDS investigated the Republican party and found any sort of suppression? Back up your allegations.

Let me set the record straight.

Everyone who is qualified to vote must be allowed to cast their one vote. Anything that deviates from that is wrong and anyone found guilty of that must be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

that is true, in and of itself.

right. but in north carolina, for example, a cable tv bill is considered sufficient 'ID.'

ACORN would have to have thousands of people working for them to steal an election which isn’t the case.
acorn does have thousands of people working for them.

ACORN has turned in valid and false registrations for republicans as well!
do you have a link please?

if acorn only cares about 'getting out the vote,' why aren't they out there in rural, republican-leaning areas?

acorn's claim of being nonpartisan is ridiculous beyond words.

That's fine though. If they meet the requirements they MUST be allowed to vote. It doesn't matter what they know or don't know about the election. OK, libs?

Exactly! When I was 18 I was interested enough in politics to go and register myself, and vote. I didn't need ACORN to hold my hand and guide me. I began watching C-SPAN when I was 14 years old. It is scary to think that people are voting when they don't even know who the candidates are.

First point:
You are insinuating that Obama would make us a socialist country. This shows that you don't know what socialism is. I'd love for you to prove me wrong. Tell me what socialism means to you, using your own words of course.

I've come to the conclusion that if I were to give people a test with the question, "Which of these definitions does socialism fall under?" and provided the definitions of socialism, capitalism, communism, the Nordic-model, corporatism, and mutualism, most people probably wouldn't get it right. A lot of people on these forums have a very odd and distorted view of what socialism actually is.

Next point:
There are a lot of dumb people on all sides of the political spectrum. According to a Newsweek poll in 2007, only 13% of people in the USA believe in evolution.
According to the National Geographic Society:
Quote:
Among 18- to 24-year-old Americans given maps:

87 percent cannot find Iraq
83 percent cannot find Afghanistan
76 percent cannot find Saudi Arabia
70 percent cannot find New Jersey
49 percent cannot find New York
11 percent cannot find the United States
My point? There are a lot of dumb people out there.

More Republican smoke screen BS. Voter organizations are REQUIRED BY LAW to turn in every registration including Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. The Republicans are the voter fraud experts. Jeb & his cronies did a wonderful job in FL.

Any false registrations by ACORN will not come close to the number of votes actually being suppressed.

But of course, that vote suppression appears to help the GOP - so there's barely a peep about it while ACORN gets a dozen threads a week.

Silly.

What does Michigan Law of Purged voters have to do with suppression? It is a law Michigan voted on.....a dem state.
In Montana the Republican party challenged 6,000 votes...only 2,186 of those voters still live in the county....so 4,000 are fraudulent....glad we challenged.

Alexis Guidry described her mother to Local 2 Investigates.”As far back as I can remember, they’ve always voted in the election,” Guidry said of her parents. The March 2008 Primary was no exception. Voting records show Alexis’ mom, Gloria Guidry, cast her ballot in person near her South Houston home.”It was just very shocking, a little unsettling,” said Alexis Guidry. It’s unsettling because Gloria Guidry died of cancer 10 months before the March Primary.”She’d be very upset,” Guidry said when asked what her mom would think.Trent Seibert, of Texas Watchdog, says you should be too.”This is really disquieting. It’s concerning. It’s worrisome,” said Seibert. He heads up the non-partisan news group on the web.Texas Watchdog compared Harris County’s voter registration roll with the Social Security death index and found more than 4,000 matches — registered voters that, it appears, are already dead. Some of them, like Henderson Hill’s late wife Linda, voted postmortem.”I would like to know who did it, myself,” Hill told Davis. We don’t know who used Linda Hill’s or Gloria Guidry’s IDs to vote, but we do know if their names had been purged from voter rolls after they died, using their IDs wouldn’t have worked.”This is a red flag. No matter where you are, this should set off alarm bells,” Seibert said.
Even in Texas ACORN has been hard at work....it is very hard to get away with voter fraud in Texas as all reg's are checked to DPS and the SS admin. and you have to show a picture ID with a matching address to have your vote count. Nonetheless ACORN tries and gets away with a few....FYI that would be dems trying to steal yet another election! This was based on actual data and interviews......

Maybe you don't understand the definition of proof, they reported what happen, not make it up. As in the Michigan case which you ignore, Republican Secretary of State was trying to use that law to purge legitimate voters, now it cannot be done. You wanted them suppressed, too bad, not going to happen. And the case of Montana, it wasn't fraudulent, old addresses were not updated, that is standard republican suppression technique, even if a slight alphabet is misplaced, they label it invalid.
Maybe you have gone senile, the 2000 election was stolen by republicans and in 2004, reports of voter fraud by republicans were reported. The republicans are well known for VOTING fraud, they think they can get away this time by distracting with this REGISTRATION "fraud".
