Sorry, but strange men calling me "babe" is creepy. If you like that sort of thing, hey, whatever floats your boat! Around here, women call each other "hon" or "sweetie" all of the time and it's not meant as a put-down. Quite the opposite.

That's very sexist and anti male to assume that he is 'creepy' or 'strange' because he calls you 'babe', but it's ok for women to call each other 'hon' or 'sweetie'. I prefer a man to call me, a woman, babe, than a woman, to call me, a woman, 'sweetie'....not that there's anything wrong with that, IYKWIM

Hmm, yeah, it could be. But if these are people who re-elected DeLay time and again, they'd probably be incapable of a backlash, LOL!

By mentally disenfranchising constituents in a city, or state or national wild swags of the voting public who did not agree with you or your political preference?

Again, whatever floats your boat!

But, how tolerant of you to try to play the lesbian card! I think that if I were a lesbian, someone named mimi who had 3 kids wouldn't be the least bit tantalizing. So, doubtful you have to worry that women who call you "hon" are interested in you sexually.

With your bitter attitude, not even your supermodel looks would incite a hon, sweetie or babe to your side.

Uh, no, it's simply healthier to turn a blind eye to what our legislature is doing until we need to know. Apparently, you're unfamiliar with it. Let me clue you in -- a couple of years ago, the Dems in our legislature all ran away and holed up in New Mexico to stall/thart legislative action. I don't know what's in the water but it's NUTS in Austin.

But what on Earth is a "national wild swag"? Are the libs going to mandate that we all use a particular, oddly-patterned window covering?
