Whatever the political anatomy of my state, however, I would like to apologize to America on behalf of the State of Minnesota for the Congresswoman from Stillwater.
Where is Stillwater?

Minnesota has 8 Congressional Districts. Only two are GOP now and they are the far suburbs of MSP. All other rural Dem districts are Democratic, as is MSP itself. It's very likely possible Minnesota could go all Democrat come November.

Well, as a Badger football, Badger Hockey, and Packer fan, I am not generally too fond of Minnesota. HOWEVER, Bob Dylan came from Minnesota so it HAS to have some redeeming qualities.

On June 9, 1954, Joseph Welch was called before Sen. Joseph McCarthy's Subcommittee on Investigations. McCarthy was assassinating the character of a younger colleague in his law firm. This colleague had at one point been a member of the left-leaning National Lawyers Guild. McCarthy was using such association to infer that the man was anti-American, even treasonous.

In his colleague's defense, Welch said this: "Until this moment, Senator, I think I never gauged your cruelty or your recklessness[...] Little did I dream that you could be so reckless and so cruel to do an injury to that lad [...] If it were in my power to forgive you for your reckless cruelty I would do so. I like to think I'm a gentle man but your forgiveness will have to come from someone other than me."

After McCarthy attacked again Welch interrupted him: "Let us not assassinate this lad further, Senator. You've done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?"

When McCarthy once again persisted, Welch cut him off saying things had gone too far and demanding the chairman "call the next witness." At that point, the gallery erupted in applause and a recess was called.

Statements made by Michelle Bachmann are dangerous and divisive. Let us hope and pray that the people of Minnesota find these statements analagous to McCarthyism and vote her out of office.

Michelle Bachmann is a disgrace to her district. I'm really sick and tired of the Neocons talking like...."Na, na, na, na, na, we are more American with you!"
Again cons, why is everything wrong with Obama's so called connections, but Libby with McCain and Palin with the AIP is cool?
Oh, I forgot: they're white.

Keep it up Michelle, you're making it easy for us.

Whackjob.
Shook his hand??!!! Yes, and then grabbed him and kissed him like some slobbering teenage groupie at a rock concert. This woman is a serious threat to decency and now, obviously a threat to free speech and American freedom!

Isn't she from the same party who's vice president leaked the name of a CIA agent for political gain, with staff serving time in prison for this? I wonder if the Congresswoman found that patriotic. Or a Republican administration that gets thousands of our men and women in unform killed because the vice president's former employer, Haliburton, wants to make trillions and oil companies wish to become once again entrenched in Iraq after Sadam's nationalization of the industry some 30 years ago. And people who rail against that are somehow unpatriotic? What a kook!

Thank you for that! Because no, we're ALL not living in the 18th century and Bachmann represents a very wide district which includes all kinds of voters.
Bachmann won because of Patty Wetterling bickering with the other Democratic contender, it divided them and they were conquered.

MY neighborhood in her district is solidly for OBAMA so her Democratic opponent ,Tinklenberg, hopefully will win.
I sure hope he brings up MEECHELL'S Fascist ideas of weeding out the "un-Americans" from Palin's "anti-American" areas......that kinda thinking doesn't go over well with us little "18th century" country folk!

I heard that Bachman's congressional seat is hotly contested and that the Rep party is concerned that they will lose it.

Check out her bio on Wikipedia- she's pretty crazy and should not be a lawmaker.
