The Obama campaign dusted off the old 30 year democrat playbook and went to the 'republicans will reduce your medicare and social security benefits' page to try and scare senior citizens again. This page is getting frayed on the edges. It's used every 4 years. Not only hasn't anything been cut in the last 30 years, both programs have grown beyond anyones wildest dreams. They have already forgotten the 600 billion drug plan and S.S. going up 5.8% in January. Maybe they consider them cuts because they didn't go up 700 billion or 6.5 % [anybody getting a 5.8% pay raise these days?]
Next week they will be using the 'if you elect republicans, black churches will burn' page.
Page one has already been used. 'tax cuts for the rich'. This page is so worn out, you can't read it anymore. But not to worry. Every democrat has that page memorized as number one talking point.
Obama should have read the playbook before he said 'Spread the wealth'. This page says 'Under no circumstances, ever, reveal that you are a socialist.
