Oh Dober, my heart goes out to you. I know the terrors and the sleepless nights you are experiencing. I know what it is like to not want to see anything on the news and yet feel like you have to see everything on the news. I know what it is like to be afraid to answer the phone or the doorbell. I will pray for you and your son. And for all those serving in harms way. I wish that people would understand what mothers go through. I think if they really understood there would be no more wars.
Time to bring this back to remind people that, even though Obama is NOT Muslim, it should not matter if he were. You accept the sacrifice of Muslims dying for this country, you should not object to their having the same rights as all other citizens...including running for president.

He and three other soldiers, including a corporal from Washington Heights, were killed in Baquba after a bomb detonated while they were checking abandoned houses for explosives. They served in the Stryker Brigade combat team of the Army's 2nd Infantry Division, based in Ft. Lewis, Washington. Mr. Khan graduated from Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin in 2005, and enlisted in the Army a few months later, spurred by his memories of the 9/11 terror attacks. "His Muslim faith did not make him not want to go. It never stopped him," his father, Feroze Khan, told the Gannett News Service in a story printed shortly after his death. "He looked at it that he's American and he has a job to do."

Sad this man died in combat, his sacrifice cannot be repaid. Just curious, does this make him an idiot or bad soldier for getting killed? Since the rabid left LOVES to attack McCain for his misfortune of getting shot down and captured because he was a "bad pilot" was this poor soul a "bad soldier"?
