Janeann, you have such a wonderful way with words. My sentiments, exactly.

i personally don't care who wins now because i am not going to work and watch everybody else in line for a handout. the people who are paying attention to the numbers understand what is going on. i think the days of groups of people expecting handouts are finally coming to an end, clearly not because they want them to but because they have to!

Andy people don't want stinking handouts, they want jobs that pay, they want to work for a better tomorrow, but instead they have been told to go buy mcmansions, put stainless steel appliances in their already overpriced homes, own three cars for two people, and buy clothing that is so expensive it could feed a small village in Africa. Do you remember when they wanted to tax luxury items and the rich went crazy and said they would have to forego that yacht and it would hurt the little people? That is nonsense, rich people like to show off to other rich people and they will continue to spend on the silliest of things. It is all of us in the middle who are just trying to plug along that need some help.

So everyone that needs a little help, it is considered a handout? You never know when you might need a little help, oh, excuse me, a handout.

I, for one, am deligted that the "young-uns" are getting out to vote this year. I doubt that either fear (of socialism) nor a great passion for McCain are the motivating force for most of them! They are looking towards a future of either being able to secure jobs that pay well enough for them to raise a family and enjoy a middle class lifestyle, or guarding against a future of low paying employment and scraping along until disease and death (and the unconcern of the few, wealthy) carry them to their graves. It seems like an obvious choice!

OBAMA ' O8

Don't take that away from them.

P.S. He is going in the Navy in January. He wants to be a Navy Seal.
nobody is taking anything anyway from anybody! your son is a responsible adult in his mid 20s who is self-supporting. the demographic that i am worried about voting is the people who live at home and whose favorite television show is "paris hilton and her bff". it is amazing to me that those people who don't pay taxes and whose biggest interest is celebrity watching can make the financial decisions for all of the people who work, who pay taxes, and who are just trying to get by in life.

please spare me the class warfare argument! obama blocked the ability of the poor and / or the duped homeowners to be able to sue so he is certainly not looking out for the little guy. michele obama's $317,000-per-year public relations job involved making the University of Chicago Hospital look good in the media and she spearheaded an effort to steer poor black patients away from her fancy hospital and into local clinics. obama's money ties and his manipulation by wall street are available for anyone to look up by reading the series online by pam martens.

as well, the Boston Globe exposed the thousands of so-called affordable housing units built cheaply in Chicago by developers backed by Illinois and federal tax subsidies championed by Barack Obama. Sewage flows through many units; others are burned out with roofs caving in. Due to neglect by owners tied to the Obama campaign, many have been slated for demolition.

barack sued citibank so that people who were not qualified to get mortgages would be able to get them, (based on anti-discrimination) and then voted to block their ability to file suit when they could not continue to pay! looks like somebody is looking out for wall street again!

When you lose your job, or get overwhelmed by medical bills and go bankrupt, or get hurt and have to live on disability, you'll be glad for those government "handouts".

You just never know if YOU will need help at some point.

You should really read these posts before you make a post. If you had then you would have been able to understand what my response was to the poster I replied to. Geesh!
