No suprise there. Clearly Obama would welcome Powell in his Administration - who wouldn't (with or without an endorsement)?
DUH!!!!!
Ken
FYI -
Article from wayyyyyy back in March (long before Obama even had the Democratic Primaries wrapped up). It makes interesting reading - especially in light of what's happened since, and shows that Powell already had a pretty high opinion of Obama even back then:

You honestly believe that Colin Powel, 71, endorsed Obama in exchange for a position. I don't know if this is due to lack of reasoning or understanding but so just as you know; Powel can get a job in any country in this world and get paid millions of dollars if he ever wanted to......

You look at Powell and see a black man. Intelligent people who are not blinded by race see an incredibly intelligent, level headed man with a breadth of knowledge that could rival any world leader alive today.
Regardless of who Powell endorsed, his credentials remain the same. He would be a significant asset to either an Obama administration or a McCain administration.
The color of his skin is of no significance except to the most ignorant among us.
Powell's reputation was tarnished by a high-profile speech he made to the United Nations Security Council in February 2003 during the run-up to the U.S. invasion of Iraq. He has called the episode a ``blot'' on his record. Powell made the case for the invasion by offering what he said was detailed evidence that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction. No such weaponry was discovered after the invasion, and many of Powell's assertions in the UN address were later found to be inaccurate.
Apparently the effectiveness of conveying your message is in direct correlation to the number of exclamation points you use in your thread title and in posts.
You don't think McCain would have offered Powell a job? He would have been honored to have him!
