Once I have time, I will look for something that will either verify the information contained in the paper or dismiss it.

Huh? How is the truth a "typical elitist response"?

In the state I live in the reason the state wants contractors to be "licensed" is so they can prove that they carry general liability insurance. Anyone working FOR a general licensed contractor need NOT be licensed. Doesn't mean they aren't qualified or work as an apprentice or go to school to learn a trade.

Your response indicates that you did not know this...to which I say, "typical left-wing liberal rhetoric: speaking before having the facts".

Clearly the tax cuts have NOT had a beneficial effect on jobs or the economy. Is that not completely obvious at this point? Historical deficits and a recession. Yeah, tax cuts are really stimulating for an economy!

To be clear, Democrats dont like taxes either but we are the fiscally responsible party that does not run away from our bills. We dont believe that we should be 100% leveraged to China, for our children to have to pay. That is a ridiculous childish policy of Bush's that we simply cannot continue.
Exactly where does the redistribution of wealth fit into paying "America's bills"? The government (at any level) racks up debt and just because one American makes more than another does not mean that the wealthier American should have to pay more than he/she already does to make up for it.

The government (at any level) should look at good long look at itself and how wasteful it is with our tax dollars. The government needs to cut back (with or without a war going on, this has always been an issue) and figure it out WITHOUT taking away from necessary programs and funding for things like education, infrastructure, etc. My town, recently, spent $40K for a "study" to find out if we should keep privatized garbage collection or not. That's the kind of waste I'm speaking about and I can only imagine the kind of money being wasted at higher levels.

I am not asking for free cheese, I have never taken welfare and never wiill, even though at times when I probably could have. I worked almost every low paying job you can think of, and at the same time finshed college, so no I'm not asking for anything except for the wealthy to pay their share. I don't make $250k, never have, probably never will, but I don't appreciate the people like me having to bail out the CEOs who have socked away their 44 million dollar salaries, run the banks into the ground, then expect me to pay for their 'cheese'. Do I want the 'upper crust' to continue to receieve their tax cuts that Bush started? No. Let them pay the same as what they paid under Clinton, that's what Obama is saying, and I what agree to. Now just how 'socialist' is that?

It is unheard of to even think of cutting taxes during war time, but not for the Republicans, their motto is "lend as you go".
I have to correct you, it's 12 billion a month to pay for this idiotic war. This is what you get when a truly stupid person, who got 'gentleman C's' in college, and chooses to read a child's book to 12-year olds AFTER a plane has hit the first Trade tower, is placed into the position of the most powerful person in the world.

I'm sure that Obama's grades at Harvard were better than Bush's, and I guarentee you that he would not have sat down to read 'The Pet Goat' with 6th graders at a photo-op, AFTER a jet has crashed into the Trade Towers.

To be fair to bush (as well as obama should he find himself in a similiar situation) bush was already reading the book to the kids when a secret service agent whispered in his ear that a plane had hit the world trade tower. What was he suppossed to do -- run screaming from the room? Perhaps excuse himself to the children by explaining that there is a national emergency that needs his immediate attention...but don't get scared?! C'mon! The man finished the damn story, smiled and left. This is exactly the same thing obama would do, hilary would do, clinton would have done -- anyone and everyone would have reacted the same way.

Geesh! It's not like there aren't plenty of legitimate things to complain about W..why do you feel the need to make one up?
