My thoughts. Did you report as a troll thread? I read the sticky and there isn't a definitive definition..

If Obama wins and my small business taxes go up from 37 to 50%, like economists have warn, I'm shutting down my business and getting in the welfare line. Why should I work if we are spreading the wealth? I'll just take some of what someone else makes!

If that's how you think (rather than having basic pride in being self-sufficient), then it's no wonder you assume other people must feel the same way.

Luckily, we don't.

But it's pretty telling that you do.

Thank you. There are so many either right winged nuts, or left winged wackos on this board that create stupid threads at every chance their little brains think up a thought. Then make a thread out of that thought without considering if it is a smart and logical thought, or more typically, a stupid and rambaling thoat.

Just a reminder folks, John McCain is a Republican candidate. I don't know about y'all but if i was in a hole, i wouldn't be digging deeper with expectations of somehow finding my way out

I think you need to talk to one of your own - gsobi - before you complain about conservatives starting threads. He posts about a thread a minute, mostly threads with no substance. Today so far he's posted about 4 with the topic being "The GOP has a long night ahead of them on Nov 4th" with the title different in each case but basically saying the same thing. If you are concerned about troll threads, work on that first.

I've been self sufficient my entire life. But if we are going to be a socialist country, and I am working harder to support more people, I'll just become one of the takers. I'm not working to give over half of what I make to the government.

Sorry, luzianne. But it's already out there. Stopping work and taking Welfare was brought up by you. I see it brought up by a lot of Republicans. (And throwing in some bogus "50% of my income" overwhelming exaggeration doesn't clear you, either.) Meanwhile, every single Democrat I know works and always has. It's some sort of inner resentment at "having to" work or something of that nature that comes out in the things you say...and then you attribute YOUR thoughts to other people.

The reality is completely different. But you can only make yourself feel better if you believe "the next guy" (/gal) has these thoughts too.

Keep dreaming.

I think the constant Obama ads in Florida may turn people off. I can't even turn on my radio or watch local channels without being bombarded with them every single commercial break. I think it's getting on peoples nerves.
