With all of the bright, talented and experienced people in this country I can't believe we ended up with either of these two. It is almost laughable. I will support McCain just because I don't believe anything Obama does, but the idea has had to grow on me.

I support McCain, but I believe of the choices Romney would match up better against Nobama simply because he would debate him on the issues better. He's able to present himself much more efficiently than McCain can. I still believe McCain will win though, and I'm very pleased that Palin is part of the ticket.

I think Romney would have been a stronger opponent- and I'm sure McCain kicks himself every day for not inviting him to be his VP running mate.

I do wonder how/if his mormon religion would have affected his performance, though.

the mormon religion thing would have been very bad for the republicans because of the media. they have not attacked harry reid for being a mormon but you can bet your last dollar that romney would have had to deal with a lot of "how nutty are these mormons" kind of stuff! it is pretty sad the way that the media actually excludes pertinent information from the voters and they have to actually do their own research. i suggest that everybody go to senate.gov and check out how obama and mccain voted on bills. look at obama's first 10 bills proposed and see if he actually is looking out for all of america!
