I know that I'm thinking about switching my vote to Obama after this.... who wouldn't want to pass up on an international conflict to see what he's made of?

We will no longer be the US, we will be a socialist nation. It has been proven that a Democratic or Republican President does better if they have the house or senate opposite what they are. He will put through too many bills without opposition which will not be good for this country.

I agree with you; scared to death of socialism. I wanted Romney but will go with McCain. I do not trust Obama. Just a gut feeling.

He was an unknown before this election. It just seems strange that an unknown was put up for the highest office.

The Labour Party of Great Britain is a socialist based political party, which GW's good friend former Prime Minister Tony Blair was head of. Don't believe all the hype - socialism covers a big area and some will say the the USA has been a socialist democracy for ages.

not my full name.My parents were born in the USA. My father in VA. His family imagrated here in the 1700's from Switerland. My moms family is Italian but came to the US in the 1800's. Neither family ever traveled back to europe so all was before the war. My husbands family also came to the US IN THE 1800'S and never went back.
Obama on the other hand lived and went to school in Kenya. BOTH my parents were born here, both his were not.
I doubt you can say your great grandparents were born here, but I can.
It was personal, proving my point-. It was also Raciest. You hate Italians.

If it weren't for Bush and his administration, we would have had more planes in more buildings and more terrorist attacks on our land. Do you not remember the international speeches of "we will not sleep until we get you" and going after terrorist cells world wide within the week? Rallying all of or international allies to help put a stop to terrorism world wide? We rounded up buches of them within weeks and threw them in jail where they are still rotting or already exicuted. Did he not put in place so many more security measures to keep us safe that WORKED? I know they worked because there are no more terrorist attacks on our soil. Oh, but then people started to get worried that someone would listen in on their phone calls so it all turn around real quick, people forget way to easily and believe what main street media, one sided channels and newspapers feed them. After 911 I can not tell you how many times I hear people (and yes even in the media) were thanking God it was not Clinton/Gore in there when that all happened. They were happy Bush was there, now that the economy tanked, they are blaming Bush and the repubs for EVERYTHING that has happened in the past 8 years. Specifically the last 4. Hint everyone, President does NOT control Wall street...free trade, remember that? Boy some Americans just amaze me. One day it is "government stay out of my business and pocket" the next it is " Governments fault I have not succeeded, so government better bail me out". Then those same people get mad about the terms of the bail out and blame that on the president too. And then they ignorantly BELIEVE what campaigning candidates say they are going to do! Please tell me of ONE president that was actually able to do what they said they were going to do on the campaign trail?.....None!
Newsflash folks, it is congress that makes those changes, and laws that created this mess.......guess who has control over congress. Don't know? Look it up, do your research, factual research, not what CNN, NBC, FOX or MSNBC is feeding you. You want REAL change, tip the scales with your vote at the congress level. Better yet, fire them all and start from scratch. Go to congress.org, learn how our countries system really works. Look at how much feeken money they make for being in the house or senate, look at their retirement packages, then look at what they actually accomplish and push for. A real eye opening, make you want to vomit learning experience. Might make you decide to vote with an educated vote verses liking a pretty speech.
This is such a brilliant, honest, informative post for all those who have forgotten because they're so buried in their hatred for Bush. I quote it because it bears repeating.

And I'm on of those people would be for firing all of congress and starting from scratch.

Too many people this year want to vote for an image, a pretty speech, reach for a Utopia that can never be achieved.

Time to get real, look at the issues that really face us and decide who we want sitting in the Oval Office making the crucial decisions that will face us as we go forward.
