The Pledge was not being said at the time the photo you posted was taken, so Obama was perfectly correct to stand, and it's perfectly acceptable that he didn't cover his heart. This has been explained multiple times on this forum. Guess you missed all those posts.

Back to the comparisons...
You may want to look a little further than the posts on this forum before you post. You may want to check out the U.S. Code.
US CODE: Title 36,301. National anthem

Like I said before obama is showing a complete lack of respect for the US flag.

Is this the guy that you want to be the President?

War hero? Getting shot down doesn't qualify you to be the President.
Here is a variation on that one:

Huh. Didn't know that. I stand corrected. Thanks for posting that. Glad I know now.

Obama is not showing lack of respect. I imagine he is like many other Americans (like myself) who were always taught to cover your heart during the Pledge, and sing during the Anthem. I'm positive that if you were to show him the US Code that you posted, he would admit he was wrong and cover his heart from then on...like I will do, now that I know the proper procedure.

As for your question...Yes, definitely.
