My two cents: by the time you get to the polls, everyone knows who they are voting for. And obviously people who are already waiting in line don't need to be reminded to go vote. So why wear political shirts, buttons, etc.?
...but I'm all for people putting them on once they've voted. It's a good way to remind people the rest of the day that they need to vote.
If this happened in North Caroina it was illegal for them to turn voters away. That was made known on the news here that in North Carolina you can where t-shirts and Buttons. I wore my Obama shirt when I voted and was not turned away. My mother wore her Obama buttons.

I'm all for Freedom of speech even on t shirts and buttons
My DSL doesn't "do" videos well so I didn't watch this. However, I've heard this before. Why can't they just ask the person to turn the T-shirt inside out, like they do when kids wear inappropriate T-shirts to school? Frankly, I've never heard of anyone in CO being turned away b/c of their clothing.
if someone tried to influence my vote while I was waiting in line, I would end up in jail for assault. people who try to force their politics on you get on my nerves.

So wearing a political t-shirt is forcing their politics on you? Man, you're overly sensitive.

Katiana--the best part of this video is a little bit of irony at the end. The voting station is next door to a liquor store that was open for business. Apparently in New Mexico you can drink and vote. So you could buy me a sixpack before I go in and influence my vote, you can even get me drunk... but you can't wear a political t-shirt....
This is pretty silly. You should be able to wear whatever the hell you want to at the polls. Obama shirt. McCain shirt. Palin parka. Whatever you want.
