Well Bush did spread the wealth around pretty well. My effective tax rate dropped quite a bit, I'm one of those who manages to get most of my income from Cap Gains and other "non-FICA" sources. The funny thing is that the Rs spread the wealth from you working "plumbers" UP to me!Thanks suckers.golfgod

Stop blaming minority homeowners.

A small percentage of homeowners defaulted on their mortgages. The mortgage market in the US is about $7trillion. This caused ripple effects that crashed the secondary derivative trade - an unregulated $60trillion market that was in essence a replay of the Dutch tulip collapse.

So who's to blame - a fraction of a percent of the home mortgage owners or the investment houses who couldn't understand their exposure in an unregulated $60trillion market?

You look dumb when you make that argument.

Can we please stop spreading the wealth around in Iraq? With their oil reserves they can afford to spread the wealth around themselves. US out of Iraq.

Are you going to claim that he wasn't talking about the CRA? Do we have to search the archives to make a fool out of you?

The Iraq War Will Cost Us $3 Trillion, and Much More - washingtonpost.com
By the time you add in the costs hidden in the defense budget, the money we'll have to spend to help future veterans, and money to refurbish a military whose equipment and materiel have been greatly depleted, the total tab to the federal government will almost surely exceed $1.5 trillion.
