There are a lot when you leave the Pittsburgh area. Hell, there are a lot in the old towns outside of Pittsburgh that are poor Mill towns that fell.
There is racism everywhere. There are racist people in N.Y. You don't think? Go ask some of the hard working union workers in the big east coast cities.
The most racist racist place that I have ever been to in my life was not Western Pennsylvania but Detroit. The blacks there make no bones about their hatred of whitey.

I don't know what there is to apologize for, as James Carville once accurately quipped, Pennsylvania is Philadelphia and Pittsburgh with Alabama in the middle. Frankly, I've never seen more pickup trucks with rebel flags than I've seen driving from Philly to Pittsburgh.
The great part about this is that McCain tried to turn it against Obama and ended up saying he agreed with the comments and disagreed with the locals. He tried to fix it on the spot but sounded like such a boob. I actually hope he gets elected because McCainisms will be classics

I know McCainisms will definitely have their own entertainment value, but after 8 years of Bushisms, I don't need any more entertainment. I want a President who will actually lead America, not alienate it.
Why is it that everyone acts so surprised when someone speaks the truth? Why all of the sensitivity, if people don't like it then they shouldn't be it!
