I do not want this to be a bash Sarah thread, but since my perspective leans negative I would assume that the GOP would not want her to run in 2012 fearing defeat. I would assume a Romney candidacy with Giuliani as VP (for example) would be stronger. I am assuming the economic funk will continue. What do others think, particularly from a strategy standpoint? Please, my question is about Palin as a candidate for 2012, not looking for savvy political insight on secessionists, walnut ummm, I mean ACORN, and/or other topics beaten to a pulp on CD. Thanks in advance!!

Secret service, CIA, NSA, DoD, perhaps even FBI.....and every other domestic covert agency WILL NOT LET THAT HAPPEN.

Darn, you beat me to it! I was actually going to say she'll be running because a moose will be chasing her.
I know many people think Palin is going to be a force in the Republican party, but I doubt it. The abuse of power, including possibly getting a free house, never going to Juneau and billing for personal & family travel, was swept under the rug in the past. Now that she's on the national scene, her record will be scrutinized. When she returns to Alaska, it's possible she'll be facing impeachment. That said, George Bush has abused his power and he hasn't be charged with anything, so who knows?
Throughout the entire campaign, Palin hasn't been able to show the American people she can think on her own 2 feet, so I doubt she will run in 2012 or anytime soon. She has been the attack dog (or pitbull!) without demonstrating leadership. However, people have short memories, so maybe she can make a comeback in 8 or 12 years, depending on what she accomplishes in the interim.
