I just love how these 'mavericks' are going to cut out pork spending and 'veto' all those bills with any outlandish spending...But they have no qualms on spending tons of money on clothes? MmmmmK.
Don't forget the other story today about how she billed the state for her kids travel expenses including $700 a night stays and trips to watch Todd snowmobile.
I might also ad that they got ripped off with the cloothes. She doesn't look all that great. I couldn't believe the money she spent on clothes in Minnesota. Is there high price New York stores in Minnesota. Over 4,000 on hair and make up. What she pulls her hair back in a bun most everyday. I heard the funniest thing yet perhaps after loosing she will be on Project Runway with Heidi. Oh that right they are going to charity.

You would think a Hockey Mom would know where to find a Marshall's or Filene's Basement where you can get last seasons designer frocks for a 10th of the price.
Apparently, this excessive spending on personal items such as clothing for Palin and her family, using RNC funds, could be subject to a challenge before the Federal Election Commission. I wonder if it will be?
So why did the RNC and not McCain's committee pay for the accessories?
The 2002 campaign finance law that bears McCain's name specifically barred any funds that "are donated for the purpose of supporting the activities of a federal or state office holder" from being used for personal expenses including clothing. A quirk in the law does not specifically mention party committees, however.
That doesn't mean the expenditure would not be subject to a challenge before the Federal Election Commission.
Lawrence M. Noble, former general counsel at the FEC, noted that as a coordinated party expense, the clothing purchase could be considered a contribution to the campaign.
"And if it was a contribution, then it could not have been used for buying clothing," Noble said. "I don't know how the FEC would come out on that question."
"If it is covered (as a personal use expense), the argument that we were going to give it to a charity doesn't help," he added.
Who trusts the news nowadays?
Isn't the Obama family well dressed also?
Punish them all for spending too much money!!!
You wanna talk elitist? A child toting around a LV purse is the definition of elitist.
