Read the first post. Obama will lower taxes of everyone, including those that only pay payroll tax. Obama is NOT proposing to increase payments to welfare recipients. This is a TAX BREAK for the WORKING POOR ONLY.

Dont those that work 40 to 50 hours per week and still dont make enough to get by deserve something? Oh no, we would'n't want to take anything from those people that are thinking of buying their 7th house. Yeah, let's take some money from those struggling to buy a gallon of milk so that other person can buy another 8th car or whatever.

Obama wants to send money to 95% of Americans as a "tax credit" when 38% of Americans DO NOT PAY TAXES! So that amounts to stealing from the wealthy to pay the poor, and that's not only unAmerican it's absolute robbery.
I guess you don't really know what a tax credit is do you? A tax credit can only be applied to reduce the taxes you pay...It is not a check.

No, I don't think they deserve anything.....they made their choices, they choose not to educate themselves or get training so they could have a job that paid living wage. Minimum wage jobs weren't intended to be used as
Why should others pay up because of someone's bad choice? Seriously, if someone is working those hours and can barely get by, they need to make some changes. Perhaps some training or education, not a handout from those who choose to be educated enough or trained to get a good paying job. That's the beauty of freedom of choice we have for now in our country. I can choose to go to college or tech school and train for a decent career, and buy multiple homes or cars. Or I can take the 'easy' way out and work for minimum wage and barely be able to buy milk and pay rent. We all have to live with our choices. Well, at least until obama takes over and socializes things, rewarding those who didn't make the right choice.

Obama's plan will make college more attainable for everyone.

And people who are uneducated and struggling tend to be more inclined to commit crimes.

Would you prefer your tax dollars go to educating people and giving them a hand up in the world or would you prefer to leave them where they are and have your taxes increase to pay to build more prisons and house more criminals?

In the 'old days' if you wanted to go to college you worked for it. I held a full time job and attended college full time. Good old fashioned hard work. It can be done, people just have to have a little motivation to change their life. Of course, with the Handout Express, why bother? Why work when it will just be given to you.

so you are saying ********* to people who worked their way through college and paid off their loans? because they are the tax payer who would be footing the bill for this "affordable" college. that's pretty screwed up.
