Last election, 11 states were found to have voting machines that recorded votes for Republicans when the voter pushed the button for a Democrat.

This year, it is starting again, but Obama, thank God, has a goodly number of people at the polls to check on such cheating as well as some excellent lawyers to prosecute the guility Republicans.

You link to another internet forum as your source?

And people call Drudge a bad source.

But after following HIS link to a source, it looks like it's a case of voter error or fat fingers. Hundreds of people used the same equipment and they didn't have a problem, Obama's army of lawyers didn't have a problem either.

Looks like you might be grasping for something that just isn't there. At least not in this story.

No, that was not her source. Did you not see the link for the newspaper at that site? Here I'll do it for you:

You can't simply calibrate to correct a software source code error (or purposeful patch that is leading to the "error") in the software, if that is the problem. And if the source code is closed, who is to say what the cause of the "error" is.

This has been reported on the news. I believe West Virginia was shown two nights ago- people pushed Obama on the screen and the vote registered for McCain.

If these touch screens worked exactly the way you want them to, all the time, I would go to the casinos and get rich.......

anyone who has worked with touch screens can tell you that the fat finger effect is not by intent but by nature of the machine. I have big fingers and struggle at times with the operator screens at work. If the names were in a reversed position McCain supporters would be crying foul about it instead.

I think it has more to do with the thickness of the glass and the fact that you're looking down at the screen at an angle, rather than having it at eye level. Looking down, it appears as if your finger is on the second button down (Obama), but it's actually on the first button (McCain).

I heard that this issue affects about 92,000 machines. I'm also surprised that results are not audited or overseen by an independent party..
