In all honesty, is anyone scared of the response from people if Obama doesn't win?
I wouldn't say Im scared but the media has built this thing up as an Obama win being pretty much in the bag. I have never felt like it was but there are LOTS of people who don't pay attention to anything but the general talking points. Im just a bit nervous of the reactions if Obama does manage to lose to John McCain. People still say that President Bush cheated his way to the election and Gore or Kerry were never "surefire" winners like Obama is made out to be.

I'm not sure "scared" is the correct term for how I feel, but definatly worried that if he doesn't win, there will be perception, if not reality, of widespread vote suppression, and rioting. If he does win, I will worry that some of the less "balanced" personalities on the conservative side will attempt to "correct" the situation with an assasination attempt. I do not, however, believe in living my life from the standpoint of fear. I believe Senator Obama WILL win, and that he and his security force will be able to effectively guard against the "crazies" in society.

I'm more concerned about the response when he does win, and for his well being as well.

Why should it be a shock to folks that are trying to get something for nothing?
It shouldn't shock liberals that half of this country doesn't believe in their "anything goes - at the expense of people and companies that earn more than $250,000 a year attitude.
I would think that Democrats would be more attracted to new jobs being created by keeping taxes lower on businesses. Instead, they want ( NEWSFLASH ) a check for $500.

You people are clueless. Every president is protected as if everyone wants to do them harm. The secret service goes to measures that you and I can't even comprehend to protect any and all presidents! There are what, about a billion people in this world that would take out Bush if given the chance. Obama will be no different, only he is not going to win, so stop worrying!
I am already preparing for riots when Obama losses. I have read many, many articles from reputable sources detailing why the polls are flawed. Whether the motivation behind the polls being flawed is sinister, or accidental is the only question.
The polls, you must remember are not straight forward, but based on pre-conditions the pollsters set for themselves. Some closer to being more accurate then others, but not perfect.
In simple straw polls, across this country of registered and most likely voters, it is a 53-47 McCain lead.
The other "most likely to vote polls" all have pre-conditions attached.

If Obama does lose this election, I will be worried for one major reason, and a bunch of other reasons.
The major reason is not that I don't think McCain would make a decent President. I do. I don't agree with many of his stances, and I don't like him as a person, but I don't think he would be the most awful President ever. Obama would be tremendously better, but McCain would suffice.
The major reason I'd be worried is that if McCain were to pass away, that backward, vicious, unprepared, idiot woman would become the President. That, quite honestly, scares the effin **** out of me.
But I'm remaining confident that Obama will win. I don't think he has it in the bag, but I do think there are more people in this country who see through the McCain/Palin campaign's sleazy lies, false smears and rhetoric, and less who fall for said lies, smears and rhetoric.

Not at all. It is mathematically impossible for Obama to lose.
However, if by some crazyness he does lose, I would imagine the Democrats would whine like they did when Hillary lost the nomination to Obama.
