A new Gallup Poll has Obama leading McCain among Jewish Americans by a whopping 74%-22%...looks like that traitor Lieberman isn't helping much, in fact you could make the case that much like Palin he's hurting McCain.

All that Muslim BS the right has been spreading around hasn't affected Obama's support either...just preaching to the hate filled choir.

Quote:
The current proportion of U.S. Jews backing Obama is identical to the level of support the Democratic ticket of John Kerry and John Edwards received in the 2004 presidential election (74%). It is only slightly lower than what Al Gore and Joe Lieberman received in 2000 (80%) -- when the first Jewish American appeared on the presidential ticket of a major party

Thank you, good-hearted Jewish people.
Thank you for being clear-headed and seeing past the propaganda.

Can we call this the Sarah Silverman effect, I wonder?

Ask 2 Jews questions, you'll get 3 answers. But historically, Jews vote mostly for democrats in presidential elections. It's not easy to find the statistics, but this site has a good summary: Jewish Virtual Library

No, it's not the Sarah Silverman effect.

Sarah Silverman has been affected by Jewish culture. She is a child of Jewish culture; she is a part of Jewish culture; she is an active participant in Jewish culture; if we're all lucky, she'll pass it on to the next generation of Jewish culture.

I am half Jewish and Obama is certainly not getting my vote. Obama's stance on Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Iran is way too soft for my taste.

I'm not half Jewish, I'm all Jewish, as are my children. My grandchildren are mixed.

Sara Palin's stance, such as it may be, on anything, is way too nuts for my taste.

Obama is sane, smart, and a constitutional scholar. Fundamentalist Christians of Sara Palin's ilk are the most dangerous to those of us who are secular American Jewish folk.

I disagree, I think Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the current Iranian regime's goal to create nuclear weapons are by far the the most dangerous threat to the survival Jewish people today, whether secular or religious. When he talks about wanting to wipe Israel off the map and how Israel will soon be a stinking corpse, it upsets me very much. And Obama actually wants to have direct talks with this anti-Semite without preconditions, that is like wanting to have direct talks with Hitler.
