Ugh, stupid stupid girl! Has she no idea what could have happened as a result of her insanity? She's lucky there was no retaliation from fringe people looking to make some innocent person pay. I hope they throw the book at her!

That idiot woman should go ahead and carve an "S" on her cheek right after the "B"

McCain and Palin sure did rush to talk to the woman and let it be known that they had without any verification of the story. Sad to think that they are probably disappointed about this not being true from a strategic standpoint.

"The McCain campaign is aware of the incident involving one of its volunteers. Out of respect, the campaign won't be commenting. The campaign also confirms that Senator McCain and Governor Palin have both spoken to the woman," the McCain-Palin statement said."

The Republican party is trying to hold onto what congressional seats they can. They have come out in support of Elizabeth Dole with a rallying cry of "Don't give President Obama a blank check". Meaning a Democratic congress.

She had taken a year off from college to work on the campaign. I wonder if she was already "high-strung" when she started work or - what built up, made this happen, made her snap? Hugely interesting.

"Todd received a call from the Republican presidential nominee and has spoken with her family. Barack Obama's local campaign team also issued well-wishes to the Texas resident."

So much that doesn't add up. She says she is a McCain worker in Bryan College Station where The Eagle, after 50 years of Republican endorsement, goes in the tank for Obama.

The Eagle, in their endorsement article, makes this ignorant statement:

Quote:
and Sen. Barack Obama, who also wears the change mantle, but offers a vision for the future, even if he has yet to fully explain how he would carry out that vision if elected president in little more than two weeks.
Bryan/College Station Eagle - Barack Obama is the better choice for president (http://www.theeagle.com/editorial/Barack-Obama-is-the-better-choice-for-president - broken link)
Even if we don't have a clue to where Obama is taking the country we endorse him. What blatant ignorance!

Bryan College has become nuts all the way around. I would wonder if the girl is really a McCain worker after all of this.

A "Fringe" person who was working on the McCain campaign.

Meanwhile, yesterday, everyone was clamoring that it was true and linking it to the Obama campaign... "Oh THESE are the types of people voting for Obama, Thugs". mhmm.

I have to agree that this woman is very likely "mentally unbalanced", but I am also seeing a lot more of this on the conservative side than on the liberal side. A LOT MORE!
