Hard to believe unless you watched the debate. Makes him look like a neurological perfect storm poised to attack America.
McCain Frowns, Rolls Eyes, And Blinks More Than 3,000 Times
A Democratic researcher spent the evening counting the Arizona Republican's blinks, and tallied more than 3,000 during the night's affair -- three thousand blinks in a 90-minute time span. They even compressed a 30-second clip of those blinks into a nine second video.

"I thought McCain swerved off track," said David Gergen on CNN. "He got over-emotional about it. He looked angry, and it was almost like an exercise in anger management up there for him to contain himself."

If you cannot answer the question or respond to the other guy rolling your eyes and blinking is the perfect response. it is body language for "I dismiss this argument completely and do not have to respond" or I just don’t have an answer other than screaming and shouting.

I noticed that as well and wonder if indeed he was so angry that he could hardly control himself. He didn't do himself any favors last night.

Yes, Senator McCain looked mighty "uncomfortable" throught the entire debate. He was obviously prepared with his list of "talking points", but that did nothing to assure me that if elected, we would get anything but an old, somewhat senile, man, with a totally incompetent running mate, for the highest office in the land. Total disaster!

McCain has always had a nervous blink. It is a documented medical condition. It goes back to the time he spent in a PRISON CELL as a POW. He is very senstive to light. It shows incredible disrespect to to make fun of a POW who spent years as a prisoner. I would comment on the inference of Obama's smirky smile, but that would that make me racist.

Peace.

On TV, body language is much more important that verbal communications. On that alone, polls will indicate Obama had the advantage - he only needed a tie.

I can't find a source for this. Can you direct me to where it is documented?

Because of all those years, might he not have the temperament to be president?

Exactly my concern as well. The behavior certainly appears to suggest some sort of neurological impairment.

I'm afraid there was more going on than just a "nervous blink". I don't recall reading anything about a medical condition in which causes him to blink at enormous speeds, moan and groan, consistently frown and grimace , and appear to be hyperventilating.

It would be so kind of you to provide a link that supports this possibility.
