when you ask tough questions - like please explain and clarify answers you gave before. Hilarious!

Quote:
Biden so disliked West's line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate's wife.

"This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election," wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.

McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was "a result of her husband's experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West."
WFTV news director Bob Jordan said, "When you get a shot to ask these candidates, you want to make the most of it. They usually give you five minutes."

Jordan said political campaigns in general pick and choose the stations they like. And stations often pose softball questions during the satellite interviews.

"Mr. Biden didn't like the questions," Jordan said. "We choose not to ask softball questions."

Jordan added, "I'm crying foul on this one."

What did you think of the interview?
So, I guess that's how the Obama campaign deters reporters from asking follow-up questions based on Obama and Biden's own words. You get cut off.

Yep, that is how they have done it from the beginning.

I think Bush was the master at this one. 8 years in office and how many press conferences? Ask a pointed follow-up and suddenly, your organization is no longer invited back to the White House. Ever.

Kind of like McCain cutting off Larry King after Campbell Brown tripped up his boy Tucker Bounds and wouldn't let him off the hook for an answer.

McCain promised ON AIR that King would have interviews with himself and with Palin.

Hasn't happened.

Why does the question get deflected to something someone else did?

If this is truly the party of change then they should be doing things differently.

They should never be heard a comment such as, well Bush did or McCain did.

Cmon stay with your party line.

Why does the McCain campaign deflect from the real issues, like the economy? Oh yeah:

"If we talk about the economic crisis, we lose" - McCain Campaign Spokesperson
