Thanks kingtodd. It can't be said enough--you can write all the great zingers you want. You can write really great, thoughtful, well-researched posts. You can check the polls ten times a day.

But...

It won't mean a thing if you don't actually get off the couch and vote.

And TALK TO PEOPLE about the election. You never know who is undecided and who might be considering not voting at all.

Yes! Talk to your co-workers. Talk to your neighbors. Talk to your family members. Remind the checker at the grocery store. A lot of people may not vote simply because they haven't done it before and they don't know how easy it is.

If you feel uncomfortable talking about a candidate, remember nobody will be offended by a simple reminder to vote.

So true!

On November 4th remind everyone you come in contact with! I have to work, and then work the polls for two hours, so I can't offer to drive anyone. I wish I had the day off so I could volunteer to drive people!

Just remember not to color your urging to get to the polls with Obama propaganda.

Some areas have early voting (LA county for one) so take advantage of it. I voted already since I knew that I could not make the polls on election day due to working outside of my county.
