No matter who wins, both are going to have to deal with the mess Bush and company has created over the past eight years. Sad.

Well, true,to a point. McCain openly boasted about voting along w/ Bush,so he takes the blame as well. No matter what, if Obama gets in,he will be left w/ the staggering national debt to deal with. Didn't Clinton get us out of the red when he was in office after Bush I ? Hopefully they will be of some assistance. For all my dislike of Bill Clinton due to his affair & scandel in office,he did do good by our country in some ways,if I'm not mistaken. Maybe someone w/ more political knowledge can help me out here.

You are correct. He left us with a surplus. The first president in history to do so. Proves reagan-bush-mccain-anomics doesnt work. Trickle down doesn't works.. its always trickle up. This is why I laugh when people call Obama socialist , spread the wealth garbage.. They called Bill Clinton the same thing!!

I agree with OP whoever wins has a mess. I think Obama will win, trouble is I already see people blaming Obama for things that will 'be his fault' to do with the bail out.. I dont get it. None of us need to blame the coming hard times on the next potus. Or the things that senate/congress have had to do to get us out of the economic mess. You know it's not obama's fault if some of those things look like socialim concerning the Bail-Outs, which happened on Bush's watch.
