As someone said earlier, this is a no-brainer!
I've lived in Alaska for 17 years and can verify that the ADN is a very liberal newspaper owned by one of the largest newspaper chains in the nation, and--yes--many people canceled their subscriptions and/or refuse to subscribe. Having personally witnessed numerous & blatant lies they printed in a four page Sunday spread about something as innocuous as a midwife's retirement (I personally knew the details), I take what they have to say with a huge grain of salt.
It certainly doesn't surprise most Alaskans that the ADN would endorse Obama. The political stance of that newspaper isn't even remotely reflective of the majority of Alaskans who still overwhelmingly support Sarah Palin.

I guess we'll know what they think on 5 November, after the election results are in.

Got it?
So hateful and angry. You'll probably have a heart attack or a stroke on 11/5, since you cannot live, apparently, with Barack being POTUS, which looks VERY likely.

Very true!
Alaskans generally vote overwhelmingly Republican for national offices. State offices are a mixed bag.
Notice I said Alaskans support Sarah Palin. Her selection for the Republican ticket energized many Alaskans who weren't necessarily thrilled with John McCain. (Similar sentiments were expressed throughout the country.) I imagine Alaskans will stay true to form and vote Republican, but stranger things have happened (like Republicans switching parties and voting in a Democratic governor when HUGE issues about the Republican's qualifications came to light).

Does this mean that Alaska's 3 electoral votes are solidly in the McCain column?
Millions of Americans will see this as significant...just as McCain mocked Romney because he didnt get the endorsement of the Boston paper....this will be seen as decisive for many.
many (including myself) don't know much about Alaska...and have no idea of the editorial policy of the Anchorage Newspaper.....but the fact that the major newspaper of Alaska doesnt support the McCain ticket and feels her selection was Bad for America....that will prove to be very significant.
