whites are not afraid of blacks at all, they are afraid what the law will do to them if they react to the threats . so they avoid like crazy. funny when you get a good job and money you run away from the ghetto but when white folks do it you call them names.
but as to obama
i would vote for a martian if he would stop the war
we are going broke fast

No racists here.
I knew you were probably white (I wasn't the person who repped you.)

There is fear and suspicion on both sides; we've had countless threads concerning what some folks refer to as "reverse discrimination."

I welcome Obama's election. I spent many hours at the Jax rally for Obama and have done a bit of campaign work as well--it sure has been nice to see diverse groups of people peacefully working together instead of tiptoeing, backstabbing, and/or making passive-aggressive remarks.

Why does this scare White people so much? Do you think that once Barack Obamam becomes President we'll treat you the way you have treated us? That's not the plan. There is NO Black vs. White plan. There is NO get back at Whitey plan. The only plan Obama has is to clean-up the Bush mess and get this country back on track.

Close your eyes and don't see a Black man: If a White man were saying these things, would you vote for him?
Open your eyes, and see that Obama is half white. Nothing to fear. He has the best of both worlds, and should treat people equally. Most people are racially mixed these days Hardly anybody is totally black, or white, There are all shades of colors in between. This is NOW, not the past. Our ancestors, yours and mine are all dead. They lived in a different time. Whoever gets elected, let's just hope they do a good job for our Country.

Yes, most Black people are mixed, but they, like Obama, are called Black because they have ancestors who were Africans.

Like you, I hope the next President (Obama) does a great job for all Americans.

Your posting comes across as just a little racist to me...

Since at least 1964 - 2 generations ago - white American has been doing anything BUT making it as difficult as possible for blacks to succeed.... That is an ignorant statement and totally false. Ever hear of something called 'Affirmative Action'. Why don't you stop listening to the race-baiters like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton and stop living the 'victim' mentality...

And I don't personally know one single person - white or otherwise - who is afraid of voting for Obama because of his race.

I live about 90 miles north of New York City... People are embracing Obama - and not because of his race - but because of his ideas and his ability to inspire.

Another story showing the hatred towards Obama. A barber's customer gets up in the face of an Obama supporter and says he is not American if he votes for Obama. JEEZZ

The irony is that Obama will be putting in the same policies Bill Clinton put in in the 1990s when we had a propersous economy and a surplus at the end of the Clinton years, yet we didnt see this resistance and hatred towards Bill Clinton. Bill CLinton carried alot of states in the south as well. Clearly race is the reason for all the hatred and Obama's name and him nor wearing flag pins are all excuses for people not voting for Obama because he is black.

He is not a "socialist." He's a capitalist.

He is not "far left." How absured. He is a moderate liberal.

He is not going to "change the very framework of our government."

Where is God's name do you get these ideas? Fox News? O'Reilly? Hannity?

Since every single assertion you make about Obama is patently false, the OP has every logical reason to assume it's about race. Who continues to assert nonsense about Obama unless they're looking for a reason--any reason--not to vote for him? And why would someone have to look for a reason not to vote for him? Because he's black, that's why.
