“Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?” the plumber asked, complaining that he was being taxed “more and more for fulfilling the American dream.”

“It’s not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance for success too. My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up, it’s gonna be good for everybody … I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

This is just Obama speaking without a teleprompter during an exchange with a soon to be over-taxed American worker if Obama wins the election. For the record, this is not a fat-cat Wall Street investment banker, an oil baron, or any other rich type, he is a plumber. A skilled laborer who just so happens to make more money than some people, who more than likely falls into the 55% category of American adults that pay taxes, but will make less if Obama is elected, and support the 45% of Americans that don’t pay taxes–now that is a promise Obama will keep.

Apparently you haven't figured out yet that there are essentially 3 kinds of Obama supporters:

1. The something-for-nothing crowd who doesn't care whether the economy will be in shambles or not, just so long as there are enough tax revenues to pay for whichever entitlement program(s) is/are their pet(s). This is, by far, the largest segment of the socialist voting block.

2. The kind of person who believes that it's everybody's duty to pay for those in the first category — whether he/she pays any taxes or not. They have guilt complexes, believing that some members of our society are owed reparations, be they racial, religious or whatever. YOU owe those people something for their suffering, even if you had nothing to do with the problem, historical or otherwise.

3. The kind of person who believes that hard work and individual accomplishments mean nothing when it comes to contributing to the society. Just don't expect them to pay the bills.

If you are going to start a thread entitled, "Karl Marx or Barack Obama" I would think that you would at least start with a comparison of Marx's statements and Obama's. Of course that would be hard to find matching quotations but it would at least demonstrate that you had at least an elementary grasp of the subject.

I think he did, he didn't say anything intelligent, nor did he put forth any argument or thesis for the Marx reference, who has no significance in our national affairs. He should change his screen from balco to balzac, as he's full of it.

Maybe I'll start a thread of similar low intellect, like:
- Adolf Hitler or John McCain
- Mickey Mouse or John McCain
- King Farouk or John McCain

Plus, he's talking about Joe the Plumber as if no one has ever heard the story, or as if it happened this afternoon. It's old news in the fast-churning presidential campaign cycle.

In fact, Joe the Plumber has given the Obama campaign the biggest bump in polls in 2 years:

Thanks Joe! We love ya.

Besides the mandated "entitlement programs" Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, VA benefits, what entitlement programs are you referring to?

You mean the same kind of people Republican and Democratic who have supported such programs since 1932?

Of course this assumes that the only hard work conducted in the US is in its board rooms.

From the mouths of babes... Were this only the Marx that looms before us. I'll bet burdell will be among those many Obama voters who will deny his vote two years from now when the economy is in shambles and unemployment is approaching 15%. I just hope he's one of the lucky ones who can get one of those manager trainee jobs at the hamburger joint after his current cushy job goes up in smoke.

Obama, meanwhile, will be laughing all the way to the (Swiss) bank with your 401K money.
