"When we choose between these two men, we are choosing between two worlds -- the world of ignorance, fear, manipulation, and cruelty, and the world of rational investigation, weighing of options, and planning."
McCain/Palin: Obama is "not like us." Obama and Democrats aren't "real Americans." Obama is a "terrorist" (or "socialist" or "communist"). Obama has deep, dark secrets. Obama is somehow "foreign." Obama "wants to steal your money and give it to the poor, lazy bastards to who deserve to starve." Or, alternatively: Obama "wants to steal your money to fund his deep, dark, racist, terrorist and profoundly nefarious plans for taking down America." Or some variant thereof (which their followers blindly and fanatically believe). And then there's always God, who--according to Palin, and inexplicably--is on the side of the Republican party and will lead them to victory over the Godless Democrats.
What. You think because a black teenager on YouTube is going to vote for McCain--or says he is--that somehow this stands as an intelligent defense of the McCain/Palin ticket? Because he's black?

Okay then.
You think that guy is a teenager??
And why do you have to pull the "because he's black card"...

Obama: The issues.
No-brainer.
Exactly. If McCain really wanted to win the undecided voters this week he needed to present ideas and talk about issues. But no..... all he does is talk about Obama. That plays to his base, but he doesn't need his base. What he needed to do was give the undecided voters a reason to vote for him.
Yoo hoo, Sen McCain-- here's what independent voters are looking for. They don't want to hear you talking about the other candidate, they want someone who talks about new ideas and spells out his proposals. They want to hear details, not "I know how to solve a problem--but I won't mention any ideas, I'll just say I know how to solve it."
LOL--of course, it's easy to be "for reason" and "against Sarah Palin" at the same time. The two concepts go together like mac and cheese.
