During the joint interview the other day with Brian Williams, Palin was dismissing Powell's endorsement as irrelevant because four former Secretaries had endorsed McCain. McCain jumped in and corrected her stating five former Sec'ys had endorsed him. That said, those five don't equal one Powell endorsement.
Maybe Palin was right and thats why McCain had trouble coming up with five.
well Obama doesnt have to worry about that, he only has to remember 1.
True. The most well respected one of them all and the only one people under 60 remember. I'd betr you half of Palins wardrobe that she couldn't name those 5 former sec/states or tell anybody what they do.
Agreed, it was too painful to watch. With the election days away, this is not the best way to instill confidence with undecided voters about his mental capacity, which has been called into question on many occassions (e.g., his VP selection).

Sorry Senator, it looks like you won't be going on to the "lightning round".
Then in the middle of answering the next question he gives a "shout out" to George Schultz. Not a pretty sight.
I think the only thing Nancy might stick in his ear would be an icepick. Apparently the McCains were very buddy/buddy with the Reagans, until Johnny Boy kicked the first wife to the curb. Nancy cut them off, and when Nancy cuts you off, you are OFF.

Classic John McCain. The video of him saying he agree that Western, Pa is racist, will do down as one of the greatest political gaffe's in history. It almost top most of G.W. Bush gaffes.

This is all not to mention that all five of the former Secretaries of State that have endorsed McCain are Republican. They're EXPECTED to endorse McCain. No surprise there...
On the other hand, the most well-respected, influential Secretary of State who's given an endorsement in this election is Colin Powell, ALSO A REPUBLICAN, and he has endorsed Obama, the DEMOCRAT. That, indeed, was UNEXPECTED, and carries MUCH more weight than McCain's five Republican Secretary of State endorsements combined.
Most Republicans don't seem to understand this.
