Just curious.....

Anyone planning on having/attending an election night party?

If so, what will you eat/drink? Is it bi-partisian or not?

I got invited to one by my sis...and I would love to go....but can't make it back to MI for it.

Of course! I took the night off work to watch this historic night! I'll probably gather with friends with pizza, chips and stuff. Regardless of the result, it'll be an extremely exciting night.

Election night is the political junkie's version of the Super Bowl. No?

I'll be at the local Obama Campaign for Change office. I figure there's no better place for the excitement of it all, and in the meantime I can help get out the vote!

A small bi-partisian party is in order. The table with the blue table cloth will have champagne, Obama cookies, beer, chips, etc. The red table will have some prune juice and sour grapes. /kidding.

Yes! Bipartisan parties all the way!
For those of us who know how to remain civil, even if the outcome isn't in line with what we wanted.
Everyone should be celebrating the privilege we have of living in this country, where we have the freedom of the RIGHT TO VOTE for our leaders!

Nah, no party. I'm going to watch probably all by myself, while I'm also watching them go crazy over on Democratic Underground. My husband has decided who he is voting for and will vote, but he doesn't care about things like posting on message boards or watching election coverage. He'll vote and is content to know when he wakes up who won. But I don't want to go to bed till I know. Everyone I know who IS interested has to work the next day. I work for myself so I'm giving myself the day off Nov 5th so I can sleep all day if need be.

Will probably order takeout from somewhere - Chinese maybe? - I don't plan to cook. No alcoholic drinks - I want to be able to make sense of what I am watching. And I want to be able to tell if Susan Estrich is drunk this time.

I'm hanging at my house with nachos, colas, and other snack foods. All you lefty "Un" American types are welcome to join me. Of course, as always, I will kick off the night with a flag burning and/or exposing my children to the gay agenda.
