Sarah Palin's a Brainiac - The Daily Beast

This is a very informative article. I strongly recommend folks on the Democratic and independent rolls read it, and any anti-Palin Republicans.

I suspect it may cause some to reconsider this woman. It may not make you like her any better, but I know it will help me to not underestimate her in the years to come!

And maybe it will get us away from gratuitous attacks on her background, and let us focus on her politics, which still suck (in my opinion)!

WHAT?? The woman scored about 800 on the SAT. She thinks dinosaurs and people walked the Earth together and for all the coaching she has received, she still erroneously replies when questioned as to what a VP actually does. As for insight,... "I can see Russia from my house!"...Enough said.

Wow, that is a pretty pathetic score, but in all fairness, I have friends who are very intelligent who got scores like that, and they went on to college and graduated just fine.

Though it didn't take them six years and six colleges.

Who the heck is she talking about. Not the woman who I've seen speaking 'off the cuff' during her interviews. Nope, I agree, not buyin' it.

Palin is more than a “quick study”; I'd heard rumors around the campaign of her photographic memory and, frankly, I watched it in action. She sees. She processes. She questions, and only then, she acts.

I think folks are confusing education and intelligence.

She was out of her element in those initial interviews - floundered terribly, sounded idiotic. When it was just her with Brian Williams, she was a lot smoother and together.

If she is, indeed, a flash-learner of things, then it would make sense for her to struggle in college, where raw memorization is often a far less major tool and if she had no study skills to apply, then she'd have a terrible twist of boredom and frustration. (Have I seen such students before? You betcha!)

I am not convinced, myself. But I am wary.

And I figure it like this. It costs me little or nothing to assume she is more capable. If I am wrong, then she never becomes a major player beyond this campaign. That'd be fine with me. But... if she is, in fact, a lot sharper than has been shown, then this is a vital thing to know.

Well, I've always though that she does have a certain cunning. But I think that Lafferty's commentary was more self serving than anything else; she's a McCain consultant and a speech writer for Palin.
