Well folks, election day is finally here so feel free to use this live, election day thread to converse. Lets keep it civil and enjoy.

Already the first results are in from Dixville Notch, New Hampshire on what is sure to be a pretty amazing and historical day.

Thanks to the time difference, I get to post first!

Here's a link that details what's happening in Hawaii right now...still Monday here:

Early Voters set Hawaii Record: Hawaii Tribune-Herald :: Hilo, Hawaii > Local News

We've broken records for early voting and some are wondering if we might not get close to breaking our record for voter turn-out.

From the article above: Voter turnout was 93.1 percent in 1960 for the first presidential election after statehood in 1959.

We just returned from the Grand Rally held in Hilo on the Island of Hawaii. Neil Abercrombie gave an good speech, of course claiming Obama as a native son...!

After I saw all that was left from the primaries I was gonna just vote third party, but I knew it wouldn't make much difference so I figured I'd just go with the Democrat. We need the change is right.

I was hoping for a bigger sample of voters, say 1000 or higher, in order to get a more accurate feel for how the popular vote might trend. It has fluctuated about where it is within 2% for the past two days, so will be interesting to see. 788 so far, not too bad for out neck of the woods.

This election cycle seems almost like riding on a roller coaster that never quite makes it to the top of the first hill. Today should just fly by.

Hmm... Ratio after the first two precincts closed:
Obama 64%
McCain 32%
3rd Party 4%

We're at
Obama 60%

Not too far off.
