The world forced to revolve around you for thousands of years isn't enough? It's a free country. Don't get married, and kindly step off my porch with more of the same old self worshiping nonsense. I accept most of you believe I'm another species. Leaving me alone isn't so much to expect, but demanding I be a lifelong therapist for every male walking past me as a term and condition of my existence isn't acceptable, particularly when that demand comes in the form of violence.
Like any other creature I've got a life to live/ manage and if you fail to appreciate me I know full well how to let go. If, according to males, avoidance of personal responsibility is the thing to aspire for in life, they've committed an act of abdicating their own true worth as individuals and as in partnership. Feminists did not steal anything. It's right there on the floor. I really do want you to pick it up, but I'll be damned if I'm going to accept legislative/ socially/ religiously being conscripted into picking it up for you. Daddy won't be coming by with a shotgun to school you anymore, but that didn't mean there weren't coming of age lessons most needful to learn.
It would be refreshing to see a REAL mens movement that was liberating because it would liberate women & children as well. A movement that didn't rely upon diminishing the worth of all others around them to fully realize who they genuinely are as they currently do in religious orgs and lame media. Promise keepers are liars. Sad. A hair of the dog doesn't even come close to aspiring for dads shoes. They still can't see it.
Problem is, you've (collectively) already had those stellar positive examples throughout recorded history and chose to ignore them in deference to making yourselves slaves to your own (collective) vanity. They aren't glamorous enough for male tastes. Principles aren't glamorous enough for thugs. There's no nice way to say that. Male values are betrayed in every argument presented in this forum, in commercial enterprises capitalizing on porn everything, and in political/ policy making decisions.
So what direction shall this nation embark? Shall we all repeat history and grudgingly make slaves of ourselves to carry around a white man's bloated ego for him (that's not affirmative action all along?) at the expense of all most worthy of defense (by us all, united as one nation), or is he finally going to get over himself? Is he finally willing to accept the real help that's needful & was offered vs what he wants? Feeding my brothers another box of twinkies when they're diabetic is not love. I'm unwilling to concoct laws against twinkies, when like alcohol, the problem is with the individuals dysfunction. I'm just not willing to (spiritually, emotionally, psychologically, or fiscally) pay for twinkies.
You won't come back to this thread. You won't respond to what I've said. You're too convinced you've got it all figured, minus half the species. That didn't work out 200 yrs ago, 2,000 yrs ago, and it's certainly not going to work in this century.
